In honor of Mother’s Day we asked some of our very own #StrongMoms to share their thoughts on motherhood, lessons they would like to pass on, and what habits or components of their lifestyle they are proud to share with their kids.
From the CrossFit Central team to all mothers, Happy Mother’s Day.
My favorite thing is witnessing the potential and subsequent growth of my children in all aspects of their lives.
Big question, I hope to pass on love and compassion for themselves, their family, friends and the wider community. I hope also they also take a “Do work son” mentality to achieve all they endeavor and strive for in life. i hope the are alway gracious and full of gratitude.
I am proud to share the integration of a healthy balance of nutritious food, exercise and recovery. I hope the presence of a healthy lifestyle is part of their foundation and they will always return to it when life may lead them away from healthy habits.
Seeing my children find joy in the most simple things and just watching them grow up being happy and healthy kids!
To be kind, to do your best, to work hard and to have integrity.
Eating healthy food and being active are just part of life.
💥my living example is her vision of what’s possible... no pressure! 😜
Be kind, you never know someone’s full story unless you ask...never assume. Life is short, never too serious, go hard for what you want- there are no handouts in your best life.
If you want something put in the work. No matter the outcome if you do everything you know possible and do your best you can walk with your head up! ❤️
My favorite thing about being a mom is taking care of my kids and experiencing what wonderful gifts they are everyday.
The lessons I hope to pass on to my children is to believe in themselves, be brave, be grateful, always stand for Freedom, and love others like Jesus might have.
Working in the fitness industry - I am proud to live a healthy lifestyle, to show Beau and Ty that hard work, consistency, good nutrition, willingness to get uncomfortable, strong community, and quality friends is a fulfilling way to live.
Favorite thing about being a mom is being able to watch the boys grow both physically and mentally. It is truly amazing to watch them explore and pick up new things each day.
I hope they learn to be genuinely kind human beings. Also that we instill in them a growth mindset to always be open to learning, direction, and adventure.
I am proud to share my love of movement with them. Whether that is doing push-ups, lifting a barbell, or going on hikes. Being able to move your body and have fun doing it is amazing. Also to share the importance of food and how much it plays an impact on our bodies. I am proud to share the love of food with the boys and the importance of good protein, vegetables, fruits, and healthy fats in their lives.
My kids bring more joy to my heart than anything in the world but they also provide the biggest opportunity for personal growth.
I want to teach my kids to believe in themselves. To help them define their core values and mission in life early. I want them to be so grounded in who they are that every decision they make in life is a reflection of this!
Through watching our fitness journey - I hope they see that getting outside your comfort zone often leads to breakthrough. I know they already see a connection between physical effort and mental growth. I love that at 3 and 6 they already have an understanding for that "food/mood" connection. They know what tastes good but also what makes them feel good. I am proud to show them that health and fitness is fun - that's it's lifestyle - a way to explore and see the world.
So much! I have to say one of the best things is having the chance to experience things with Wyn, especially all of the firsts. Like his first time to ride on a ferris wheel, first time to taste ice cream on a hot summer day, or first time to fly in an airplane — there is so much wonder and curiosity behind it all. It can stop you in your tracks and remind you to slow down and just take is all in.
To know kindness, empathy and bravery. And to never stop dancing! #dancepartiesforlife
I’m proud to share an overall healthy lifestyle with Wyn. Through our food choices, conversations, and activity - I want him to see that making healthy choices is not a punishment or a chore, but just a part of life! And it makes you feel good!
